So what does this mean for that house you have your eyes on? Let\u2019s talk about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Robert Heck, VP of Mortgage @ Morty<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-small-font-size\" style=\"color:#c3c3c3\">Paid Partner<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.getbellhops.com\/?utm_source=morty&amp;utm_medium=affiliate&amp;utm_content=paid:partnerships:affiliate:na:na:na:na&amp;pc=morty10&amp;utm_campaign=na\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"722\" src=\"https:\/\/www.morty.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/bellhop.webp\" alt=\"bellhop movers banner\" class=\"wp-image-9226\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Let\u2019s break down some of the trends we\u2019ve been seeing:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Interest Rates are coming down.<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.morty.com\/mortgage-rates\">30-year fixed rates<\/a> are back below 7%! While rates may fluctuate as the Fed continues to combat inflation, many <a href=\"https:\/\/themortgagereports.com\/32667\/mortgage-rates-forecast-fha-va-usda-conventional\">experts believe<\/a> we have experienced a peak and should slowly start to see rates trend downward.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Affordability is improving despite tight inventory. <\/strong>Inventory, although still relatively tight, is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.redfin.com\/news\/housing-market-update-mortgage-rates-dip-sales-decline\/\">up 10% from last year\u2019s low<\/a>. The good news here is that a growing number of home sellers are beginning to drop their home prices. This is a positive indication of the market easing ahead of rates coming down later in the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Time to negotiate. <\/strong>For those who have decided to sell, they want to sell fast! As a result, there is an increased expectation that buyers will negotiate price, repairs, and closing costs.
