Newly released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/markets\/us\/us-consumer-prices-rise-modestly-june-core-inflation-slowing-2023-07-12\/\">Consumer Price Index<\/a> (CPI) data showed inflation falling to 3% year-over-year, the lowest increase since back in 2021. While it still hasn\u2019t hit the&nbsp; Federal Reserve\u2019s goal of 2%, it\u2019s certainly headed in the right direction and signals that the inflationary period of the past few years may be coming to an end.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All eyes will be on how things progress from here (and how the Fed will approach its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/markets\/us\/will-june-have-opened-season-falling-inflation-fed-2023-07-12\/\">next meeting<\/a>), but the news was well-received by the markets. Mortgage rates dropping for the first time in weeks and 30-year rate averages fell below 7%.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is positive news for buyers who have been looking for some relief on rates.
